Itinerary

Our Balkan tour begins as we gather at Cochin / Calicut / Trivandrum Airport for our flight to Bucharest via Frankfurt. Upon arrival at Bucharest – Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP), we complete arrival formalities and collect our luggage. Then, we meet our guide and proceed the city tour. We begin at the historic Revolution Square, the symbolic site of the 1989 revolution. Continuing onward, we explore the charming Old Town (Lipscani), where cobblestone streets lead to centuries-old churches, cozy cafés, and boutique shops. We make a photo stop at the Arcul de Triumf, one of Bucharest’s iconic landmarks, before viewing the grand Palace of the Parliament — the world’s heaviest building and an architectural marvel that reflects Romania’s modern political history. Throughout the tour, we discover several more highlights that showcase the city’s vibrant character.

After breakfast at the hotel, we proceed to the charming town of Bran in central Romania. Surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, Bran is best known for its iconic Bran Castle, often referred to as “Dracula’s Castle.” Although there is no historical evidence that Vlad the Impaler—who inspired the Dracula legend—ever lived here, the castle’s dramatic setting and imposing architecture have long contributed to its mysterious reputation.During our visit, we explore this medieval fortress perched on the border of Transylvania and Wallachia. Today, Bran Castle serves as a museum showcasing art and furniture collected by Queen Marie of Romania, who once made it her residence. Later, we continue our journey to Brașov, a picturesque city nestled in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. Known for its beautifully preserved medieval architecture and vibrant Old Town, Brașov offers a delightful blend of history and culture. During our tour, we stroll through the historic center, admiring its colorful baroque buildings, cobblestone streets, and lively squares. Highlights include the impressive Black Church (Biserica Neagră), a striking Gothic landmark that dominates the city skyline, and Council Square (Piața Sfatului), the bustling heart of the Old Town surrounded by charming cafés and historic façades. After our sightseeing, we drive back to Bucharest for the evening.

After Breakfast check out from hotel drive towards Veliko Tarnovo which is one of Bulgaria's oldest and most picturesque towns, known for its rich history and cultural heritage. It served as the medieval capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, and its Tsarevets Fortress remains a symbol of the country's medieval glory. The Yantra River adds to the scenic beauty of Veliko Tarnovo, with waterfront areas offering a relaxing atmosphere. Later we will continue our journey towards Sofia which is the capital and largest city of Bulgaria, situated in the western part of the country at the foot of Vitosha Mountain.

Enjoy a delightful breakfast at the hotel before beginning your guided city tour of Sofia. During the tour, we visit the magnificent Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the world’s largest Orthodox cathedrals and Sofia’s most iconic landmark. Continue to the Saint George Rotunda, the oldest church in the city dating back to the 4th century, followed by the Saint Sofia Basilica, the medieval spiritual symbol of ancient Serdica built in the 6th century. We will also pass by major highlights such as the Parliament Building, Roman Ruins, the elegant National Theater “Ivan Vazov”, the historic Former Royal Palace, and the Presidential Administration. After lunch, we transfer to Rila, a charming town nestled in the southwestern part of Bulgaria at the foot of the dramatic Rila Mountains. Here, we visit the legendary Rila Monastery, Bulgaria’s most important spiritual and cultural monument. More than just an architectural masterpiece, the monastery is a living testament to Bulgarian history, faith, and resilience. With origins dating back to the Middle Ages and significant restorations in the 18th century after a major fire, its church, frescoes, and courtyards reflect centuries of devotion and artistic heritage. After exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we return to Sofia in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, checkout and we proceed to Belgrade. Arrive in Belgrade, the vibrant capital and largest city of Serbia, beautifully positioned at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Proceed for a guided city tour to explore Belgrade’s rich history and iconic landmarks. Visit the striking Victor Monument, the Monument of Gratitude to France, the historic Zindan Gate, the serene Chapel of Saint Petka, the Clock Gate, and the Clock Tower. Continue to the majestic Temple of Saint Sava, dedicated to Belgrade’s patron saint. Dominating the city skyline, this grand Orthodox temple is one of the largest of its kind in the world and a powerful symbol of the Serbian capital.

After breakfast and check out proceed to Sarjavo, arrive and we proceed for a guided city tour of Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina — a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage, deep historical significance, and remarkable blend of Eastern and Western influences. Begin by exploring Baščaršija, the old downtown area and the historical heart of Sarajevo, filled with charming Ottoman-era shops, traditional souqs, and centuries-old craftsmanship. Next, visit the iconic Latin Bridge, a landmark of immense historical importance. This elegant Ottoman bridge over the Miljacka River is forever linked to the events of June 28, 1914, when the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie set in motion a chain of events that led to World War I. As you stand on the bridge, you can reflect on the gravity of that moment and its impact on world history.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to the peaceful pilgrimage town of Međugorje (approx. 2–2.5 hours). Located in the Herzegovina region, Međugorje is one of the world's most visited spiritual destinations, known for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary witnessed by six local children in 1981 on Crnica Hill. During your visit, explore the Parish Church of St. James, the spiritual heart of the town and a central gathering point for pilgrims from around the world.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kotor. Enroute Visit Budva. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin a guided city tour of this popular Adriatic coastal town. Budva is famous for its stunning beaches such as Slovenska Plaža and Mogren Beach, a lively promenade, and a vibrant nightlife scene with numerous bars, clubs, and beach parties during summer. Its combination of natural beauty and entertainment makes it one of Montenegro’s most visited destinations. Later in the afternoon transfer to Kotor for a guided walking tour. Nestled along the breathtaking Bay of Kotor (Boka Bay), this charming coastal town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its medieval old town, narrow cobblestone streets, historic churches, and exceptionally well-preserved architecture. The bay itself is often considered one of the most beautiful in the world, with towering mountains rising spectacularly from the sea, creating a postcard-perfect landscape.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik, located in Croatia, is a city brimming with life and rich heritage. The country boasts an incredible history, treasured landmarks, and unique cultural expressions seen in its cuisine, architecture, and ancient traditions. Croatia’s spectacular coastline adorned with over a thousand islands is home to crystal-clear waters, stunning national parks, and well-preserved natural wonders. After we reach proceed for a guided tour of Dubrovnik. Our tour begins in the magnificent Old Town of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its elegant Baroque and Renaissance architecture, narrow cobblestone walkways, and remarkably preserved historic structures. Stroll along Stradun, the city’s lively main promenade, lined with charming boutiques, inviting cafés, and centuries-old buildings that reflect Dubrovnik’s vibrant past. Enjoy the captivating blend of history, beauty, and coastal charm as you explore this extraordinary city. Later we proceed to Split.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Zagreb (4 .5 Hrs) for our return flight. Bid farewell to Central Europe as you conclude this memorable journey filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes.
